Spike Associates X UWE Bristol Fine Art Networking Event

This event invites Spike Island Associate members and UWE Bristol MA Fine Art students to gather for a morning of connecting and networking. Facilitated by Art & People founder, Claudia Kennaugh, this event offers a chance to get to know your peers, as well as people at different stages of their professional journey – inspiring and encouraging a supportive environment across Spike Island’s artist community.

This interactive workshop will offer structured activities and useful networking tools, so you can feel confident engaging with arts professionals and networking at art events.

Participants are invited to bring one piece of your recent work that you are either excited or challenged by. You can volunteer to present your work to the group or use it as reference during the discussions. Work can be in physical or digital format with the use of the projector.

During this session you will have the opportunity to:

• Share your practice within a supportive group
• Explore and discuss collective themes and process
• Connect with the wider community of artists at Spike Island
• Practice networking comfortably in real life scenarios
• Prepare a checklist to make the most of future art events

After the event there will be an opportunity for continued networking and informal discussion with tea and snacks, from 12.30-1pm.
